Life Sciences and Culture in Bonn
Host: University of Bonn
Dates: June 3 - August 4, 2008
Intensive lab research in medical and life sciences is combined with seminars and discussion forums, leading up to a final research presentation. Depending on the project, they are exposed to technologies in protein biochemistry, DNA and RNA technologies, medicinal chemistry, cell biology, genetics of model organisms, microscopy techniques, and more. This 2-month program also offers intensive language instruction, classes in German culture, and an excursion to Berlin. Students will be fully integrated into the local student population and benefit from the university's long-standing tradition in offering programs for international students.
