This four-week summer program of the Hessen International Summer University consists of two courses on issues related to Europe and Germany, German language courses and an attractive extracurricular program. There will be day trips to nearby sites, lectures in English and German by well-known figures in politics, economics and science, and an opening and farewell banquet. Participants come from up to 20 nations and contribute to the international experience in Marburg.

Freie Universität Berlin International Summer and Winter University (FUBiS)

Dates: FUBiS I: January 16 – February 13, 2010
FUBiS II: May 29 – July 10, 2010
FUBiS III: July 17 – August 14, 2010

FUBiS is an intensive, academic program through which students can earn credits that may be counted towards their degrees at their home institutions. FUBiS sessions run for 4 to 6 weeks and take place both in summer and winter. FUBiS participants can choose from German language classes at five different proficiency levels and/or a broad spectrum of fascinating subject classes on various topics. These classes are held in English or German by distinguished German and international faculty. Upon successful completion, every student will be awarded an official transcript containing contact hours, ECTS credits and grades. Courses are open to undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Program cost: The costs of the program consist of a non-refundable program fee (€200) and the course fee (ranging from €800 to €2,000, depending on the course and term). For details please visit the website.
